VEGA II

The NEW Vega II is the flagship glider from AXISpara - it is a sporty wing that combines the high performance reserved for higher class gliders, with the safety of the standard class.
Because of a high canopy stability and easy to learn reactions Vega II received EN-C (size S EN-B) classification at testing. The projected area has been changed to lower induced resistance and to increase the glider´s performance. The glide ratio has been improved and greater speed range been produced whilst providing greater stability and improved feedback while thermalling.
Vega II is a fast, dynamic, but also stable and predictable glider. For some pilots it can be a final glider because of ideal combination of performance and safety.
Vega II is a glider made specially for regular xc pilots, for pilots who appreciate the safety of serial gliders, for pilots flying recreationally but with experience. Vega II is mostly chosen as a second or third glider in pilot`s career.

Construction

Based on the highly successful Vega, the VEGA II has a slightly changed profile aimed to increase safety & pilot comfort. The inner structure is a direct development from the Mercury Competition glider with every third rib reinforced. A special line system helps to reduce the length of main linesand the brake attachment have been moved to the trailing edge creating improved handling and greater safety.
VegaII has a special Differential Speed System, which helps to obtain low sink rate at 1/2 - 1/3 speed, and high maximum speed (56km/h) at full speed with relatively high stability.
The canopy is also reinforced by tapes connecting attachment points. All the stitching is on the inside of the canopy for greater protection.
